Peace of Mind Dressage

pom-logo-1Lusk Law, LLC, is thankful for business owners who choose us for help with their legal needs. We owe our success to our clients, so we developed our Client Spotlight e-blasts to show our appreciation for the people we represent. This month, our Client Spotlight showcases Peace of Mind Dressage and owner and head trainer Jaclyn Sicoli. POM-riders-with-horsesPeace of Mind Dressage believes in guiding every horse and rider to realize their full potential, beginners and experienced pairs alike. When training human and equine students, Jaclyn always takes time to get to know her clients as individuals and to understand their specific training needs. In 2007, Jaclyn relocated to Maryland after completing a successful apprenticeship with international competitor Heather Mason in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.  Upon arriving in Maryland, Jaclyn opened Peace of Mind Dressage. Jaclyn’s original business model focused on developing a client base in the central Maryland area by training at some of the regions top facilities. Then, in 2014, Peace of Mind Dressage opened its doors for boarding and training at Woodvale Farm in Frederick Maryland. POM-horses-in-barnJaclyn graduated with honors from the United States Dressage Federation’s L Education Program, which teaches students the evaluation techniques and criteria used in judging dressage. She has competed through the Intermediare 1 level, earned her USDF bronze and silver medals, and is eligible for the United States Equestrian Foundation’s Registered Judge’s Program. As her business has grown, Jaclyn has been able to bring expert riders to Woodvale Farm to lead workshops and clinics, including Nicholas Fyffe, Stephen Bradley, Michael Bragdell, Tim Bourke, and Betsy Steiner. She also offers assistance for people buying and selling dressage horses, conducting thorough research to ensure owners and horses are a good match for each other. POM-horse-riderPeace of Mind Dressage has been a Lusk Law, LLC, client since 2011. During that time, Jaclyn has trusted the firm to listen to her business concerns and offer sound advice about planning for the future. In 2014, Lusk Law, LLC, helped Jaclyn prepare for the added risks associated with boarding animals by developing contracts and other legal documents. Jaclyn takes pride in seeing the progress her students have made, and she finds fulfillment in the work of helping horse and rider achieve harmony. She wrote about her experience as a horse trainer for Dressage Today magazine and also penned an article on the benefits of yoga, her other passion, for riders. When not at the farm working, Jaclyn enjoys spending time with husband Luke, son Hume, and the two family dogs. Lusk Law, LLC, is proud to represent Jaclyn and Peace of Mind Dressage and looks forward to helping her achieve any future goals she may have.
